The Associate Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of SCIEX products are customer sites. This position works under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist, and Senior Engineers within the territory. Tasks are performed independently as competencies are developed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned training tasks
  • Develops knowledge of SCIEX products
  • Learns and develops technical skills necessary to perform high quality maintenance and triage repair on instruments
  • Perform preventative maintenance and triage repair on selected products
  • Accompanies experienced Field Service Engineers on installation and repair calls
  • May perform installation / repair calls independently as experience increases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements & Competencies:

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with customer
  • Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time for Customer visits and/or training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Driving license is essential
  • Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
