We're in the early stages of a major product update on Old School RuneScape, and are looking for an enthusiastic Engineer with an attitude to learn, collaborate and inspire as a part of a highly successful MMO. You will have a huge impact, not just on our engineering teams, but on the huge communities of Old School RuneScape players all over the world

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for implementing new systems and infrastructure features using Java, C# and other script languages
  • Work on a variety of projects in the department covering all aspects of the group's technological domain, making good use of support tools (e.g. Profiler, debugger, code-analysis tools) to ensure your code is of high quality
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve our systems, services, and processes. Effectively communicate these and see them through to completion
  • Ensure services are monitored, scalable, robust, highly available and performant
  • Where appropriate, evangelise emerging tools, techniques, languages to improve quality and efficiency of delivery
What we're looking for:
  • Proficient with Java (C# considered)
  • Experience working on backend systems as a software developer
  • Experience working in at least one public cloud provider (AWS preferred)
  • Experience in designing and shipping 3rd party APIs
  • A passion for solving problems in a unique technology stack
