With innovation at our core, we are seeking a hands-on Principal Software Engineer who thrives in the dynamic, fast-paced world of startups.

About you:

You will be working with ambitious founders who are domain experts with a deep understanding of architectural design and Computer-aided design. As our first technical hire, you won't just be sitting on the sidelines. We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is ready to roll up their sleeves. You'll be the backbone of our technical team, not just architecting solutions from a high level, but also actively contributing to prototyping, problem-solving, and pushing boundaries to turn our vision into reality.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with founders to understand business goals and translate them into innovative technical solutions.

Build scalable and flexible software that can evolve with Planarific's growth.

Establish technical foundations, set up development practices, and choose technology stacks.

Make key decisions on the product's design and implementation, covering all technology aspects.

Rapidly prototype and iterate to refine the product, ensuring continuous improvement.

Adapt to the startup's fast-paced environment, ready to tackle new challenges as they come.

Grow the tech team by building a strong group capable of meeting our technical needs and advancing our mission.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Software Lead, with a strong portfolio of recent projects and team-building experience. Versatility in various programming languages and frameworks, with an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

Some experience in developing or working with various 3D modeling and design software, such as CAD/CAE, BIM tools (Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD), VR/AR platforms (Unity, Unreal Engine).

Experience in Machine Learning and AI research and development

An entrepreneurial mindset, with a flexible, problem-solving approach typical of startup culture.

Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical team members.

You must have the right to work in the UK.
