Process Operations Manager / Leader - Anaerobic Digestion

About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is proudly partnering with an ambitious, motivated and growing business in the UK's Anaerobic Digestion sector. They're a dynamic, forward-thinking and proactive business who are partnering with the distilling and brewing sector to generate renewable energy from the offtake of these processes. With sustainability at their core, they're a brilliant company.

This Process Operations Manager / Leader role comes with an excellent overall package which will be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Ensuring the site teams are fully trained, competent and have a continuous improvement mindset
  • Working alongside the Site Leader to deliver the operations across a new CO2 plant
  • Monthly and ongoing reporting of KPIs, biogas yields, efficiencies and outputs too
  • Develop and help to maintain the SOPs on site as well as all training documentation for the site
  • Ensuring that the staff are taking their personal development seriously and that all objectives are being met and strived for
  • Maintaining adherence to COSHH and educating those in the team as to why this is important
  • Looking at operational plans, performing some gap analysis and identifying any areas for improvement
  • Be the responsible person for Legionella control on site
  • Being the responsible person for HACCP, TACCP and VACCP on site
  • Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Ideally, degree qualified in an engineering field
  • At least 5 years experience in the same or similar role. We're open to those who would progress into the position.
  • Six Sigma or similar would be advantageous
  • UK driving licence

Personal skills:
The Process Operations Manager / Leader role would suit someone who is:

  • Technical and enjoys the detail
  • Someone with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Willing to travel on occasion
