We are continuing to expand our provision at Meadow Bridge School, this is an exciting opportunity for a English Lead to join our team. Meadow Bridge is an independent special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, set in the beautiful town of Cricklade, near Swindon.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic English Lead who is open to learning a modern approach to teaching pupils with social, emotional, mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative maths practitioner who is passionate about english/literacy and would like to work within a progressive and innovative curriculum.

The English Lead will teach students in the third phase of our curriculum, Community Ready, including those on accredited pathways so must be able to deliver english up to GCSE level as a minimum.

They will also have oversight over the english curriculum for the whole school, they will provide subject specific plans, resources and quality assurance.

A key part of their role will be supporting colleagues to deliver english through our project based curriculum, Enterprise Learning.

There are excellent opportunities for career development, cross group networking and to be part of our research focused work within this role. You will also be part of establishing the Spaghetti Bridge curriculum at our brand new school.

Candidates will:

Hold an appropriate qualification to deliver english to GCSE level as a minimumBe passionate about english and the possibilities of teaching this through a creative, dynamic, project based curriculumHave experience of middle leadership/subject leadershipBe an team player, who is able to coach and model excellent teaching practice to others Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence.
