About the role:

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally. They are looking for a Project Manager to provide leadership, direction and strategy at a competent level for one or a number of multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects within the nuclear sector.

This integral position comes with a salary of up to 63,000 with a company who are committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Framework Director, the Project Manager will:
  • Be accountable for all aspects of project delivery including definition, design, procurement, manufacture, construction and commissioning, as well as financial performance
  • Prepare project delivery and procurement strategy and safety plans
  • Set up a project team, obtain resources, mobilise, define roles and responsibilities and communicates with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Launch construction phase, establish budgets and project cost control
  • Set up WBS,CBS and OBS as well as an accounting structure to suit WBS
  • Manage subcontractors and production of enquiry specifications
  • Assess tender costs and manage the delivery of tenders to clients
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Project Management related qualification
  • Three years in project management as a Project/Senior Project Engineer
  • Experience in engineering project delivery
