About the Role

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join its team. As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring stakeholder engagement and approval.
  • Implement planning processes, policies, and procedures to ensure project delivery.
  • Produce planning and Earned Value Management (EVM) deliverables in accordance with business rhythms.
  • Support the Senior Project Controls Manager with emergent projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop high-quality, integrated schedules, ensuring stakeholder involvement and approval.
  • Track progress against project schedules, forecasting potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Provide planning and scheduling expertise to project teams and wider programs, sharing knowledge and supporting less experienced team members.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in developing, integrating, and analyzing project plans.
  • Knowledge or experience of using best practice planning processes and tools, including EVM.
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidence modeling processes and techniques.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, focused on achieving, influencing, and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to read and interpret charts and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work to challenging timescales.
  • Ability to deliver objectives on time and to high quality, with minimum supervision.
  • Experience of working with multiple forms of contract, including NEC4.
  • Experience of coaching, developing, and mentoring a team.
