Banking & Financial Services Consulting

Cognizant's Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Consulting is seeking talented consultants with extensive business analysis and consultative experience of executing large-scale business change and IT solutions for BFS clients. This role provides an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, high energy and entrepreneurial team working with leading UK & Europe based clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Performed Senior Business Analyst/ Functional Consultant roles on Business & Technology Transformation Programmes within Capital Markets domain; helping clients achieve their business objectives
  • Responsible for assessing, documenting and validating business requirements, viz., current/future state process maps, business use cases, non-functional requirements, data and reporting requirements
  • Possess knowledge and experience of financial products in equities, fixed income, funds, derivatives
  • Understand sell side and buy side industry ecosystems including the role of brokers, dealers, clearing organisations, exchanges, custodians, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with technology partners, operational areas, vendors, and business stakeholders to plan, analyse, document, communicate and manage business requirements
  • Support project delivery, testing and implementation activities to deliver business benefits and achieve business objectives
  • Apply best practices for effective communication, relationship management and problem-solving with stakeholders/partners
  • Full project life-cycle experience - with demonstrable knowledge of different project life cycles: waterfall, agile
  • Experience of managing small to medium sized teams to deliver programs / workstream in a large program
  • Has worked in a global delivery environment and with distributed teams

  • Flexible and enthusiastic about gaining new experiences across different clients and adapting to new and challenging environments

Contribution to Practice Development:

  • Contribute to practice development activities such as Capability Development, Knowledge Management, Proposition or Solution Development
  • Develop focused Thought Leadership assets including industry 'points of view' or 'white papers', podcasts, blogs, vlogs, etc
  • Coach and mentor team members
