Key Duties
· Be able to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students.
· Be an aspirational professional who is enthusiastic, influential, and committed to working in pursuit of success for the academy and its learners.
· To set high expectations for all pupils, to deepen their knowledge and understanding and to maximise their achievement.
· To assess pupils' work systematically and use the results to inform future planning, teaching, and curricular development.
The successful candidate will have
· Candidate must be able to teach GCSE Resistant Materials / Engineering Design
· A 'can do' attitude, hard-worker and a mathematics degree would be fantastic.
· Good behaviour management skills and a sound knowledge of the KS3, KS4 curriculum KS5 desirable.
· Resilience and the ability to work as part of a team and undertake pastoral duties as part of a year team.
· An ECT, NQT or a more experienced practitioner understanding GCSE design technology and AQA Engineering
· Detailed subject knowledge.
· Key issues in the teaching of Design Technology.
· Effective teaching practices, including differentiation.
· Aligned to school vision and values
· Aligned to the schools approach to T&L; use of the TSPA Playbook.
Job Specifics
START DATE: September 2024
SALARY: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
CONTRACT: Full time, permanent
