About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at OCS Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting both the geotechnical and structural engineering teams in delivering high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather information and requirements for structural/Geotechnical design.
  • Design to appropriate design codes, project brief & client specifications.
  • Calculate true weight of building for use within concepts (pile loads, slab thickness, rebar allowances).
  • Calculate dimensions, material allowance and detailing structural features such as lift pits and steps.
  • Recommend perimeter details in line with external finished site levels.
  • Describe production methods step-by-step with the help of other members of the Technical and Pre-Construction team.
  • Create concept design drawings in CAD software.
Requirements
  • Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering degree.
  • 2 years design experience.
