SEN Teaching Assistant

What will you do as a SEN Teaching Assistant and what can the school offer you?

  • Supporting children 1:1 with mild-moderate SEN including Autism (ASD), Speech and Language issues, Communication and Social interaction issues, mild behaviour issues and much more
  • Support children inside and outside of the classroom on a 1-2-1 basis and small group interventions when required.
  • Provide a 'consistent face' to the children so they are comfortable and can progress in a safe and stimulating environment
  • The school are constantly providing training and CPD for staff, making sure you are best equipped to make sure students flourish
  • Be surrounded by hard-working, passionate and knowledgeable staff, who will welcome you with open arms from day one

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN across year groups
  • Working with children with Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties
  • Working in a Primary School
  • ASAP Start - Full-time - full academic year
  • per day - Term time only
  • Located in the borough of Greenwich

Person Specification - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Must have a good degree from a reputable University
  • Having a good understanding of SEN is required
  • Experience in a previous role or personal experience with SEN would be ideal
  • Passionate about supporting children with SEN
  • You must be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Calm and compassionate nature
