SEN Administrator (Temporary to Permanent)

Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SEN Administrator to join our team at a Secondary School located in Greenwich.

This is a temporary to permanent position, offering full-time hours and an hourly rate.

As the SEN Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Special Educational Needs (SEN) department, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and providing essential assistance to students with special educational needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SEN department to maintain accurate and uptodate records of students with special educational needs, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of SEN assessments, ensuring that appropriate support is provided to students during the assessment process.
  • Support the SEN team in organizing and scheduling meetings, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and involved.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and external agencies regarding the progress and support needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports, documents, and resources related to SEN provision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations when handling sensitive student information.
  • Collaborate with other school staff to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role within an educational setting, preferably in a SEN department.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to special educational needs is desirable.
  • Sensitivity and empathy towards students with special educational needs, with a commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality within the school community.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle changing priorities.

Job Types:

Contract length: 3 months

Salary:
£14.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
