Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Teacher of Music to join one of our partner secondary schools based in Salford. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to nurturing a love of Music in students of all abilities. The role will start in September 2024 until at least the end of the academic year. We expect the role to go permanent for the right candidate.

As a Teacher of Music key responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages students to explore and express their creativity.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Music curriculum and integrate cross-curricular themes.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular Music activities, exhibitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within schools in essential.
  • Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of artistic techniques and mediums.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
