HLTA - Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Higher Learning Teaching Assistant within our very small, special independent school. The hours will be 8.00 am – 4.00 pm with one additional hour per week for meetings (Hours can be flexible for the right candidate). This is a term-time only position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person who should be a good communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, a good sense of humour and a flexible approach, to be team player and able to take direction as well as be proactive. Be able to lead a lesson with a small groups of pupils which will build confidence and knowledge in your own skills, experience and potential to further your professional development.

The successful applicant should have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent or have proven experience supporting pupils at this level. The successful applicant should have experience working with young people with additional needs.
The successful candidate should have an HLTA Qualification or be willing to undertake training.
