International Professionals Programme - Communications

Are you a recent graduate excited to embark on your career? Do you want to make a positive difference in the world? Are you excited to work with talented individuals from across the globe on life-changing investment projects?

If you're nodding along to these questions and you think you have the skills and interest to help us develop and implement innovative solutions to international development challenges, then read on to see if the Internal Communications Analyst role in our International Professionals Programme is for you.

Who are we? "It's Banking, but not as you know it"

In the Communications Department, we are responsible for creating awareness, raising visibility and generating support for the EBRD's activities across our regions and beyond. We oversee media relations, publications, donor visibility, and web and social media, as well as internal communications.

Within the Internal Communications team, we focus on effective and impactful communications across the Bank, ensuring our staff are informed and engaged in the EBRD's day-to-day operations and overall mission.

What are we offering? "Not your average 9-5"

Our 24-month International Professionals Programme (IPP) is an immersive, focused and supportive programme for successful graduates to unleash their potential and kick-start a career at the EBRD.

The IPP is made up of assignments designed to provide meaningful, hands on experience, and the opportunity to develop your skills alongside top subject matter experts in a range of fields. There will be rotations through departments relevant to communications, as well as the opportunity to work closely with our Resident Offices, deepening your understanding of and engagement with the very core of the EBRD's mission and impact in our countries of operations.

During the programme you will undertake a tailored learning and development plan which encompasses in-depth technical training as well as personal and business skills development. You will be supported by your line manager, a mentor and a dedicated Programme Manager. The successful candidates will join the Programme in October.

What does the role of an Internal Communications Analyst look like?

As an Internal Communications Analyst, you will be an integral member of the team, supporting the writing, preparing, archiving and measuring readership of internal content and channels. Activities you could be involved in may include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of the Internal Communications Strategy.
  • Producing, distributing, and measuring readership of the bank's daily newsletter, suggesting improvements where applicable.
  • Updating the intranet to ensure that content is topical, timely and in line with the Internal Communications Strategy.
  • Sourcing, planning, producing and delivering internal communications campaigns for teams across the Bank.
  • Identifying themes, projects, activities and events which capture the bank's work and present them in a creative and convincing way.
  • Researching the latest practices on keeping staff informed and engaged, with a focus on developing our digital outreach in particular.

What are we looking for? "We embrace difference, to make a difference"

In addition to initiative and a sense of adventure, we are also looking for diverse candidates who have the following:

  • A recent degree in a business relevant field.
  • Knowledge of internal communications and engagement trends, with a focus on digital communications.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English as well as excellent writing skills, including editorial accuracy and ability to edit concisely.
  • A keen interest in international development, private sector development, and field-based practical work.
  • An eagerness to work in any of our countries of operations during the IP Programme and in your future career at the Bank.
  • Results-driven with an open and flexible attitude towards change.
  • Six to twelve months' experience of working, travelling, or volunteering.
  • You must be a national of one of our shareholder countries.
