We are looking for an experienced research software developer to join the Biological Research Data Management team, BioRDM.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The Opportunity:

You will personally design and develop cutting-edge software tools for diverse research groups in biological sciences and medicine. You'll work in a collaborative environment, tackling scientific and technical challenges, and play a crucial role in enhancing our data management workflows. This position offers the chance to innovate, and to lead project development with significant independence.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Relevant working experience in software development
  • Proficient programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Java, Python or R
  • Knowledge of web technologies
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capability

£39,347 to £46,974 per annum (pro rata, if part time)
