We are working with a fantastic school in Headington that are seeking a passionate individual to take on the role of Behaviour Support Assistant. The role is a full time position beginning in September 2024 in the Headington, Oxford area, supporting students with additional needs facing behaviour challenges throughout the school day.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:

1-1 support for students

Observing triggers for behaviour challenges

Identifying effective regulation tactics

Setting 'SMART' goals for students to work towards

Participate in team meetings with safeguarding officers, teachers and psychologists on site

Keep students motivated and engaged in lessons

The school's approach to teaching their students includes encouraging self-investigation and independence as well as an academic curriculum. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be encouraging them to recognise their own potential and do their best to achieve it.
