The post holder will regularly review policies and procedures to ensure they are current and fit for purpose; ensure that all required tests, inspections and maintenance servicing is carried out to all plant and equipment as required by law to achieve full compliance, ensuring that records are held for future reference; develop and maintain the incident reporting process.

The role also involves investigating and reporting on and recording all accidents, near misses and related incidents – including diseases and dangerous occurrences; this includes control and manager asbestos matters and the asbestos register; together with all fire safety matters within college. The post holder will support and assist projects with CDM requirements and introduce project scopes to ensure contractors know what is required of them. They will provide technical help & support where required, or have the understanding of where to guide people to.

You will be a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager, who is qualified to NEBOSH level. You will also have current relevant or equivalent NEBOSH fire and safety; together with CDM qualifications (although training can be provided if required).
