As a Senior Underwriter, you'll manage business across our new business portfolio while helping us expand by onboarding new customers. This market-facing role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for doing what's right for our customers. We'll support and train you in all technical aspects and ensure you feel part of the team from day one.
We understand the importance of flexibility and offer various working arrangements, including part-time, flexible hours, job sharing, remote working, and compressed hours. Your responsibilities:
- Engage with your team and report to a Business Manager.
- Interact with brokers and intermediaries daily.
- Deliver a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of your workload while supporting colleagues to achieve collective goals.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their development.
- Drive, analyse, and deliver strong underwriting results across our portfolio.
- Identify and suggest improvements to boost process efficiency and effectiveness.
What we're looking for:
- Established experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting.
- Strong communication skills and decision-making ability.
- Attention to detail and willingness to challenge processes and decisions.
- Adaptability to different workloads and pressures with the ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with a customer-first mindset.
