Job Role Responsibilities:
- Revise Quality Management System to meet business needs
- Integrate quality, health, safety, and environmental oversight
- Manage daily Inspection Department operations
- Guide through ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, AS 9100 accreditations
- Ensure QA compliance for employees and subcontractors
- Develop and agree on job-specific quality plans
- Maintain and calibrate equipment properly
- Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions
- Provide quality training and maintain documentation
- Approve and audit suppliers regularly
- Generate quality performance statistics and manage quality complaints
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure updated drawings are available on the shop floor
- Set key performance objectives
- Implement safety training and conduct risk assessments
- Manage internal audits and validate certifications
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures
- Promote safety risk assessments and review work procedures
- Prepare safety reports and stay updated on regulations
- Ensure safe equipment installation and conduct safety training
- Track incident metrics for continuous safety improvement
Essential/Desirable:
- Minimum of 5-year experience in a fast-paced precision engineering environment
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality and performance
- Ability to evaluate both personal and team performance
- Strong decision-making and judgment capabilities
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9000, AS 9100, and ISO 14001
- Experienced in quality management
- Proficient with MS Office and knowledgeable in data analysis/statistical methods
- Comprehensive understanding of quality control processes and legal standards
- Certification in quality control (e.g., ISO 9000) is a plus
- NEBOSH General Safety certification or equivalent
