This is an exciting opportunity to join Bath Spa University in this key student support role as Assessments and Progression Officer working as part of Student and Registry Services.

About the role

As Assessments and Progression Officer, you will assist the Senior Progression Officer in providing support and guidance to students via email, telephone and by holding meetings, and will carry out administrative duties relating to the Progression Team, and the wider Assessments team. Within the role you will arrange and attend student meetings, develop support plans, answer queries, maintain student records, and produce reports and statistics. You will work closely with the Data and Insights Service to analyse data and identify trends, update communication resources, manage Academic Advisor allocations, and support process enhancements. Additionally, you will assist with Academic Misconduct processes and collaborate with the wider Assessments team, always keeping up to date with University policies and attending relevant training sessions.

About you

You will have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft applications and excellent IT skills, including database management, report generation, internet use, and email communication. You will handle confidential information with discretion, provide exceptional customer service prioritising university and student needs, and demonstrate keen attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with experience in managing student records and familiarity with systems like SITS.

£27,979 to £31,396 per annum (Grade 5)
