Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a experienced SEND Teacher to join a secondary school in Wembley. You will be working within the schools SEN unit which caters for a small number of students with speech and language needs. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September.

They offer a broad and challenging curriculum for all. The school also has an additional resourced provision (ARP) for up to 12 students with speech and language difficulties.

As a SEND teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Planning, delivering and lessons whilst assessing progress
  • Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions
  • Support behaviour by following the children's plans
  • Updating and setting targets for children
  • Offering advice and guidance to the teachers within the main school
  • Working alongside the SENDCO and other professionals

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

  • QTS
  • Knowledge of, or previous experience working within complex needs or SEND
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
