We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Group Sales Operations department as Product Operations Manager. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations and Process, this pivotal role works across ten Hachette Publishing divisions providing a vital link between the Divisions, UK Sales and, on occasion, Distribution.
Responsibilities
Key liaison with Divisions to drive and monitor timely completion of metadataEnsure retailer presentations are created to meet stakeholder deadlines and requirementsProvide day-to-day direction, workflow management and support to the team, acting as a point of escalation when requiredOversee the management of event stock orders and on-site author signings in liaison with relevant departmentsLine management of three team members, who cover a wide number of sales operations tasks and roles, in order deliver the product operation requirementsDrive continuous improvement across the team, reviewing and updating departmental procedures and effective monitoring of workflowParticipate in Hachette-wide operational projects representing Sales Operations Who we are looking forWe are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the fast-paced central Sales Operations team.This is a great opportunity to join a team and be a part of setting up and refining key operational processes across multiple divisions, integral to the smooth running of sales and operations across the group.A relevant background in Sales Operations in a publishing, media or retail environmentLeadership, people-management or substantial supervisory experience with a emphasis on support, motivation and developmentSound judgement, authority, and credibility with the ability to establish strong rapport across all levels of stakeholders both internally and externallyExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise shifting workloads in a changing or evolving environmentComfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, able to communicate decisions clearly and succinctly. The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week. Hachette employs people on the basis of their abilities.
