London, Greater London, United Kingdom King's Global Health Partnerships Full time

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Director of King's Global Health Partnerships (KGHP), to oversee the development and implementation of programmes that are impactful in our partner countries and that effectively engage with colleagues from the academic, health and international development sectors.

The five health partnerships in Democratic Republic of Congo, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, and Zambia, bring together outstanding staff and professional volunteers from our NHS Partners and King's College London to improve healthcare and its outcomes in our partner countries and organisations, by empowering people, strengthening organisations, and enhancing the health system. The post holder will lead the development of new programmes working closely with the KGHP Director, the Health Systems Lead, Partnership Leads and with our African partners, enabling the partnerships team to deliver effective programmes, secure external funding and influence the wider development sector.

The post oversees the management and implementation of all KGHP programmes, providing leadership and oversight of programme delivery, grant compliance, MEL, risk management, volunteer management, financial management and security. You will continue to strengthen KGHP's organisational approach to programme development and management and will provide line management to 7 reports.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of operational leadership in health system strengthening in low and middle-income settings, and strong experience of programme and financial management.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
