The role:

Key responsibilities for this role:

The role offers the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Actuarial Operations work supporting Finance and the wider business, including:
the provision of technical actuarial calculations and maintenance of the transfer and commutation bases for non-profit and with-profit annuities;liaising with stakeholders across the wider business and with external parties to ensure understanding of complex and technical actuarial information, developing relationships with key business areas;development and review of documented calculation bases for preparing illustrations and administration system calculations for our new and existing life, pension and investment products; andsupporting investigations into actuarial calculation related queries raised by other Actuarial areas and the wider business.

Key knowledge, skills and experience:
Previous experience within an actuarial teamHighly effective communication skills, both written and oralAble to disseminate quality information to internal and external stakeholdersExperience of developing a broad base of relationships with key contacts across Finance and with key business stakeholdersComfortable communicating business issues to appropriate parties and providing support to stakeholdersStrong experience of using Microsoft applicationsAbility to deliver on multiple tasks to demanding timescalesPension knowledge desirable although not essential
