Position: Paint Technician
Skilled Rate: ph - Semi-skilled rate 13.88ph ph
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 08:00am - 16:30pm - Early Finish Friday - Overtime paid at x 1.5
Proactive are currently recruiting for skilled Paint Technicians in Cambridge to start work immediately.
This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high performance aerospace parts. You will be working as part of a wider team delivering projects to meet production targets, offering ample opportunity for progression and development.
Our client requires candidates who have proven Paint Technician skills and previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment. and will be responsible for preparing composite/aluminium panels for primer and top coat paint.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of composite or aluminium panels
- Required to use handheld tools such as sanders etc
- Responsible for edge filling of panels
Skills & Experience Required
- Understand basic engineering drawing
- Experience of handheld tools (sanders)
- Knowledge of measuring equipment (rulers / verniers)
- Time served prepping surfaces ready for finishing
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
