Child & Youth Counsellor - Integrated Working and Family Support in Bridgend

Job Type: Fixed Term Until 31 March 2025
We are seeking a qualified counsellor to work with children and young people within Bridgend County Borough schools and community venues. The counsellor will require an in-depth knowledge of evidenced based approaches to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people in Bridgend. The successful candidate will possess the drive to improve sustainable outcomes for children and young people facing multiple and complex difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and develop your skills in evidence-based practice with children and families.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
