About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated SCPHN Health Visitor to join our Flying Start Health Visitor Team in Bridgend. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering the Flying Start Healthy Child Wales Programme and promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families.
Main Responsibilities
You will work closely with our deputy senior and senior nurse to develop innovative ways of working, implementing change effectively and monitoring outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering innovative, clinically excellent evidence-based child health surveillance, health promotion, and other public health initiatives.
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating health visiting interventions working with statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Working as part of a team to ensure the delivery of equitable, high-quality services.
- Communicating information in a sensitive way when dealing with issues that are sensitive and contentious.
- Delegating duties as appropriate to specialist community workers.
- Working collaboratively and maintaining effective communication with health and other professionals to ensure the provision of a high-quality preventative health service.
