Yolk Recruitment is working in partnership with Natural Resources Wales to find them high calibre technical talent from across Wales. We are currently working with them to recruit a Senior Cloud Engineer. This opportunity is an ideal role for someone with expertise in Azure Cloud. Solid experience of Cloud Engineering in Azure is essential for this role. While the role will be predominantly focussed on deploying specific applications to Azure and maintaining a strong DevOps pipeline; there will also be a need as a team to support any high level Cloud Support Tickets that the 3rd line support team escalate.

The Role

You will be working on the Deployment of the Flood Warning System into Azure, while ensuring the live service applications are kept well maintained.

  • Deploying mission critical applications to an Azure infrastructure
  • Working with Infrastructure As Code principles in a solid and secure fashion
  • Responding to high level support tickets above the service desk team
  • Ensure the sustained availability and security of live service applications

Requirements

You will have a really good understanding of Cloud Engineering within Azure - this is essential to the role.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of deployment into Azure
  • Ability to effectively deploy Infrastructure as Code
  • Understanding of how to fix high level support requests or find appropriate solutions
  • An advocate for innovative cloud solutions, with the ability to bring a new viewpoint to the organization
