Cognizant are recruiting for a Solution Lead who is responsible for developing and delivering end to end IT solutions for our defence and intelligence markets.

Working alongside our Client Partner and Programme Director, the Architect as the visible technical leader for the department who develops and maintains an expert level of understanding of the technology challenges within the defence and intelligence markets.

The role will play a key role in shaping future work by developing solutions from initial concept though the bid to handover to delivery on contract signature.

What you'll Be Doing

  • Analysing the technology environments of our customers.
  • Understand our customers' business goals and constraints.
  • Leading solutions for bids or leading a solution workstream for large scales bids.
  • Solution response to ITTs/RfPs covering skills, capability, best practice methodologies, technical solution, opinion or innovation related questions.
  • Contributes to business development activities including qualifications, solution design, cost estimates, proposal writing and presentations.
  • Leading technical collaboration with the Customer, Technology Partners (AWS/Microsoft/Oracle etc) and other suppliers.
  • Matching solution design choices to customer's budget and timelines.
  • Leading innovation initiatives.
  • Owning the relationship with our customers' technology leads.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep relevant technology experience within the defence and intelligence markets.
  • IT architecture, digital (data & analytics, software engineering, DevOps) and cloud development.
  • Experience of providing solutions for bids and pre-sales activities.
  • Engineering and software architecture design.
  • Project and product management in an Agile environment.

Location: Remote (with travel when required)

Security Clearance Level: Candidates must be eligible for an SC or DV security clearance
