Banking & Financial Services Consulting

Cognizant's Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Consulting team is seeking experienced consultants to work with our ecosystem of clients, alliances, start-ups, and design agencies to deliver the next generation of technology and experiences for the Wealth and Asset management industry. This role provides an opportunity to help grow and lead small, high energy and entrepreneurial team working with leading UK & European based clients in an industry undergoing massive transformation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Performed Senior Business Analysis / Functional Consultant roles on business and technology transformation programmes with Wealth and/or Asset Management firms; helping achieve their business, technology, strategic and regulatory compliance goals
  • Previous experience of working in a similar capacity in another Consultancy or within the industry
  • An appreciation of business and technical requirements and the ability to bridge the gap between the two
  • Understanding of the changes taking place in the wealth and asset management industry including partnership ecosystems, use of emerging technologies (AI, ML, Blockchain) new business models (digital experience, open banking marketplace, democratisation of service) and other trends in the industry.
  • Experience of managing a medium sized team to execute mid-size program of work or of leading work streams within a larger program of work
  • Ability to develop creative strategic solutions to solve our clients' business and technology problems, and create accompanying execution roadmaps to implement the changes
  • Experience working in a global delivery environment and with distributed teams
  • Experience of developing new consulting capabilities and taking these to market

  • Open-minded and pragmatic, with ability to guide teams to build customised tools/ templates for the engagements
  • Flexible and enthusiastic about gaining new experiences across different clients and adapting to different, challenging environments

Contribution to Development of Practice:

  • Lead practice activities including Capability Development, Knowledge Management, Proposition or Solution Development
  • Contribute to focused Thought Leadership assets including industry 'points of view' or 'white papers', podcasts, blogs, video interviews etc
  • A line manager, coach and mentor to members of the team

Industry Experience:

  • Direct experience of working in the industry through a bank, wealth or asset manager or fintech, or industry aligned consulting, agency or software vendor experience
