The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior School Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of two schools within our network. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts. Ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, providing strategic financial advice to senior leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and related financial operations.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation to maximise efficiency and effectiveness across both schools.
- Financial Strategy: Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the education sector.
- A strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
