We are looking for a successful class teacher willing to develop the curriculum and teaching of a subject. This will be a class teaching role with release time provided. You should suggest which subject you would like to teach in your application and be willing to teach in either Key Stage 1 or 2. The role will provide you with a chance to develop your leadership qualities and skills, and make a school-wide contribution to the teaching of a subject in a high performing school. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we shortly will open a resource base for SEND pupils.

Aston Tower is a popular two-form entry multi-cultural school that serves a community which really values our work. We are very well resourced, have a large and committed staff team, well-behaved, appreciative pupils and highly supportive trustees. The school has a happy and vibrant ethos. The school is set in spacious, attractive and well-kept modern premises with expansive grounds which offer great potential for learning.

Visits are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the Head Teacher, Jonathan Moore.

Aston Tower Multi-academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and individually take responsibility for doing so.

An application form is available from our website.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work. All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references.

Applicants please note: This post is not part of the City Council and the successful candidate will not hold a Birmingham City Council Contract of Employment. Please use the contact details in the advert for information on actual employment conditions.

Rehabilitation of offenders: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
