The role's purpose is to support the delivery of core Cambridge SU events. The Events Coordinator, while based within the Activities Team, will work with staff from across the organisation. They will be the event organiser of our flagship events, and provide support to smaller events such as those run by other teams, or students. Our flagship member engagement event is the Freshers' Fair, which invites all 24,000 students to see what the university has to offer.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver Cambridge SU's major events.
  • Develop and implement an events management process for all student events to follow.
  • Lead on the health and safety of all events.
  • Produce a risk register and be the primary lead on all risk management of events including financial and reputational risks.
  • Produce reports as required.
  • Portray Cambridge SU in a positive, proactive and professional manner
