PURPOSE

Do you want to contribute to the development of countless learners?

Being an Assessment Leader means taking charge of the entire assessment process for your specific qualifications. You will report to the Head of Subject and collaborate with various teams like product management, marketing, and sales to ensure a professional and customer-centric service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leader, you will oversee the creation of engaging, inclusive, and relevant question papers, ensure accurate and timely marking, and establish grade boundaries. Your daily tasks will vary depending on the assessment cycle, but you'll also work on long-term projects focused on enhancing your qualifications and meeting customer demands.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the quality of assessment materials through continuous improvement.
  • Analyzing assessment data for consistency in question papers.
  • Managing the production and approval of assessment materials within set deadlines.
  • Providing exceptional customer support and engagement.
  • Assisting customers in understanding the assessment processes.
  • Participating in various assessment initiatives.
  • Monitoring examiners' performance.
  • Adhering to regulatory procedures and standards.
  • Identifying process enhancements.
  • Collaborating within your team and across different initiatives.
  • Leading and managing a team of examiners.
  • Managing your training and seeking support from the Head of Subject.

WHAT WE SEEK:

Assessment Leaders can come from various assessment backgrounds such as education roles in schools or colleges. Prior experience in customer-facing positions and knowledge of assessment processes is beneficial, but not mandatory. If you are passionate about the sector and possess the required skills, experience, and willingness to learn, we welcome your application.

We are looking for individuals who can effectively prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and adapt to changes. Project management experience is a plus, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Other challenges involve:

  • Maintaining attention to detail.
  • Adapting to different qualifications.
  • Familiarizing yourself with various IT systems.
  • Training Assessment Associates on new technologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Managing tasks for multiple examination series.

Contract: 6 months. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week.

Role location: The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities for remote work and office presence in Manchester for at least 2 days a week. Occasional travel to the London office might be necessary.
