The Caretaker role is one of the most important at Whitnash Primary School. As Caretaker you will be responsible for keeping our school building and grounds safe to use and in excellent condition, so our environment remains a joyful place to teach, learn and visit.

We are looking for a caretaker with a sunny disposition, a team player with an eye for detail, who will take pride in their work and enjoy ensuring our grounds and building looks and operates at its very best. The successful candidate will carry out work which includes a programme of maintenance for the school; conduct testing of security and fire systems; respond to ad hoc maintenance needs; ensure we have stocks of resources needed to keep the school safe and clean and maintain the safety our grounds and gardens. They will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Relevant experience as a caretaker or applicants with a maintenance background would be an advantage. Full training will be provided. This is a role that may suit someone newly retired or a young person looking for a responsible, skilled job.
