Surf instructors – full time

Opportunities for surf enthusiasts to share their passion with others as Surf Instructors.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

  • Usually 15 lessons a week.
  • Wages: £25-£28 per lesson depending on qualifications and experience.

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

Surf instructors will teach students of all ages with varying levels of experience. Instruction takes place both on land and in the water. Instructors are expected to inspect equipment before and after class, explain and demonstrate proper surfing technique, supervise and ensure the safety of students, keep records of attendance, and direct the students in clean up.

Surf instructors must hold a current, valid;

  • ISA Level 1 and 2 Surf Instructors
  • SLSGB Surf Coach Life Saving/beach lifeguard

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

  • Attentive, outgoing, friendly and assertive in all communications.
  • Approachable, welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic.
  • Good personal appearance.
  • Self-motivated and responsible. Flexible, punctual, organised and efficient
