Senior Algo Trading Developer

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

  • Facilitate the build out of an enterprise wide cross-asset multi-strategy Algorithmic trading framework.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize performance and maintain low latency.
  • Work with Traders and Quants within multiple desks (FIC, Equities, FX and Futures) to understand their requirement and formulate solutions.

What will you do?

  • Work with business Stakeholders to build new and maintain existing Algos and customizations
  • Develop an in depth understanding of existing algorithmic trading applications and work on migrating it to a new container platform.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize performance and maintain low latency
  • Meet deadlines in support of a fast moving release cycle
  • Leverage new technologies and approaches with continuous improvement in mind
  • Tailor the algorithmic container to meet the demand to house increasingly more sophisticated algorithmic strategies
  • Protects organization from operational risk associated with Electronic Trading and creates a risk aware culture within the team

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working under their own initiative
  • Advanced knowledge of Java, C# or C++
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with database applications and working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Pre and Post trade analytics, machine learning and pattern recognition is advantageous.
  • Understanding of build and deployment management
  • Knowledge of kdb+ and q programming language is advantageous
  • Experience as a member of a team providing L2 support
