Job Description

Organon is hiring a Site Procurement Lead to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. In this role, you will manage and coach a team of 3 professionals responsible for Direct materials, Indirect materials & services & Capex, ensuring high level of sourcing rigor and standards.

The successful candidate will develop country procurement objectives and targets in respective categories including, annual productivity, working capital targets, indirect procurement savings & contracting targets.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Buyer Business Plan for their respective buyers.
  • Supports continuous procurement process improvement, driving personal productivity within the team.
  • Engages, obtains sponsorship and influences senior level stakeholders / demonstrates procurement value proposition, creates a delivery plan shared jointly with business stakeholders.
  • Develops end to end risk management strategies and performance management & improvement strategies.
  • Acts as change agent, demonstrating added value brought by the procurement function. Is a personal example and role model of the Organon leadership behaviours.
  • Actively supports diversity, within Organon as well as including, expanding relationships with diverse, SME suppliers.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain or Business; MBA or CPM /Supply Chain certification preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing / supply chain / direct materials procurement / capital arena.
  • Experience with direct materials, services and capital procurement.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, collaboration, problem solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Drives results while dealing with ambiguity.
  • Able to influence at all levels in the organisation.
  • Demonstrates capabilities in strategic stakeholder relationship management, supplier relationship management, project management, cost optimisation, negotiations and contract management, financial / legal acumen.
