Deputy Lead Nurse – Salary equivalent to NHS Band 6
1.0 WTE Term Time + 2 weeks (41 working weeks plus 6.8 weeks paid holiday)

Set weekly shift patterns, including morning, day, evening and school day shifts between the hours of 7am-9pm
Special School Night Nurse – Salary equivalent to NHS Band 6
Permanent - Term Time only (39 working weeks plus 6.8 weeks paid holiday)
2 nights (20 hours) per week, on a set two nights per week (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Special School Nurse – Salary equivalent to NHS Band 5
1.0 WTE Term Time + 2 weeks (41 working weeks plus 6.8 weeks paid holiday)
Permanent - Monday to Friday – 8 hour shifts (including a 30 minute lunch break)
Set weekly shift patterns including morning, day, evening and school day shifts between the hours of 7am-9pm

Based in beautiful Westerham in Kent, Valence School is a local authority maintained residential and day school supporting students aged from 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties. We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT). Following a change in provision, the school is looking to recruit nurses to meet the needs of both day and boarding students.
We are seeking individuals who would welcome the opportunity to be part of the Health Team at Valence School and help shape a revised model of practice delivery within our school. We are particularly keen to find nursing professionals who enjoy working collaboratively to find solutions, who demonstrate empathy and understanding and who are uncompromising in their desire to attain the best care for our students. We require staff who are confident in their understanding of evidence-based practice and who can prioritise their work to provide direct care, assessment and support when required.
At Valence School, we celebrate diversity and recognise the benefit of having a multidisciplinary team. We therefore welcome applications from nurses within Adult, Children or Learning Disability fields. To meet the needs of our students, we are particularly interested in applicants with experience in respiratory care, tracheostomy care, suctioning, enteral feeds, jejunostomy and gastrostomy care. In return, you will be provided with regular support and clinical supervision, support with revalidation and seizure management, a bespoke induction and a rewarding and interesting post.
