Are you experienced in delivering high quality online programs and resources for learning audiences?

Can you commission, manage and deliver on the creation of digital learning content? Do you want to work on some new and sector leading projects which will transform the way that young people learn and engage with Shakespeare's work?

We are looking for a Learning Content Manager to lead on the creation of compelling and transformational online learning content for teachers and learners. Working within the Creative Learning and Engagement team and in close collaboration with colleagues in the Digital Development team, you will create a suite of online resources and lead on content development for our new learning platform which is currently in development for schools UK wide.

The online learning resources we create enable teachers and young people from across the UK and around the world to creatively access, interrogate, learn about, challenge and make responses to Shakespeare's work. From Teachers Packs supporting productions, to specially created films, courses, Schools' Broadcasts, Live Lessons and the Shakespeare Learning Zone (SLZ), our virtual output and resources are central to the work of the Department.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Learning key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

Commissioning and supporting the development of play specific online content for teachers and young people that extend their knowledge and understanding of Shakespeare's plays and theatre practice.Keeping up to date with new developments in online learning including new ways of making and distributing learning content. Ensuring learning content meets the needs of young people and teachers through active dialogue.Commissioning and overseeing the creation of short form film content with RSC artists and exploiting other RSC digital content. Evaluating the impact of RSC learning content on teachers and learners to inform future content development. Knowledge, skills and experienceProven experience of delivering high quality online programs and resources for learning audiences.Experience of commissioning and managing the creation of content from different contributors.An interest in Shakespeare and the arts.An understanding of the UK Education system.Highly computer literate in MS Office packages.Commitment to inclusion and social justice.Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.Able to communicate with and influence a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines a varied workload, sometimes in periods of pressure.Be positive, proactive, flexible and adaptable to new ways of working.Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team with the confidence to work on their own initiative and prioritise their own workload.Remain calm under pressure and have a positive attitude in the face of challenges. This position is based in Stratford-upon-Avon and the working hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday.
