We have an exciting opportunity for a two-year fixed term Practice & Learning Lead Practitioner based in our new Children and Families Practice & Learning Hub. Lead Practitioners help ensure that the future generation of social workers, family support workers, youth workers and other children and families professionals are supported to grow as individuals and develop the skills and confidence to deliver best practice.? In addition to empowering new practitioners to reach their potential the team also work across all levels of the service and with key partners, coaching and enabling everyone to be the best they can be.??

About the Role

Practice & Learning Lead Practitioner (Social Work)

We are looking for someone who is committed, enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families in Warwickshire. Candidate's must be social work qualified and have social work experience. We need someone who understands restorative approaches, encouraging learning, reflection, support and challenge and who will work positively as part of a team and with our colleagues and partners, promoting good quality practice focused on improving outcomes for children and families.

The successful candidate will be working with Team Managers and Operational Leads to identify team and Whole Service practice and learning needs and to prioritise staff for support and continued professional development opportunities. The Practice & Learning Hub will meet the needs of social workers, managers, youth workers, family support workers, youth justice practitioners and other disciplines within the service.

Through delegated responsibilities from the Principal Social Worker the successful candidate will contribute to the assessment of NQSW (Newly Qualified Social Workers) and co-lead and co-facilitate support sessions to social workers and other practitioners in a range of learning and practice development opportunities.

The successful candidate will provide Practice Education and support the development of a co-hort of apprentices on the Social Work Degree Apprenticeship programme.

You will work collaboratively with others, developing and maintaining relationships, forging new partnerships and integrating multi-agency working practices whilst retaining your commitment and motivation to keep children and families at the heart of everything we do.
