Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Community Fundraising Manager. This full time, homebased position covering London & the East of England focusing on our key areas in Barnet and Luton. The successful candidate will be actively building networks of organisations and individuals in the region to fundraise for us, writing local grant applications and supporting fundraisers locally as well as our shops and key services in the region. Candidates must be willing to travel to shops and services with the region as well as for team meetings in London and Birmingham, therefore a driving license and access to your own vehicle is advantageous. You will be joining a supportive team that works across regions and income streams to deliver the best possible experience for our growing number of supporters.

Key skills and experience

  • Extensive experience of recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers
  • Extensive experience of building successful internal and external relationships
  • Cultivating, managing, and stewarding partnerships
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while still providing the highest level of customer care to all supporters
  • Understanding of Community based fundraising trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records, producing reports and analysis and presenting them in an effective way to stakeholders and Head of Team.
  • Self-motivated and supportive to other team members.
  • Understanding of financial reporting and regularly monitoring income
