Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our clients, located in West Lothian to recruit a part-qualified candidate for a new Cost Accountant position.

Our client is seeking an ambitious candidate, who will be directly supporting the Assistant Financial Controller & wider finance function to achieve business objectives. On offer is the chance to work in a fast paced, growing manufacturing business who have an excellent reputation in the market.

Key Responsibilities
Maintaining and improving the Cost Accounting function related to Wyman Gordon Ltd to provide management with a timely and efficient serviceEnsuring the Company adheres to sound accounting principles and aim to review and determine potential problem areasMaintaining accurate costing information to assist in the pricing of products for the companyEnsuring you continue your understanding of inventory procedures, support and offer guidance on inventory processes and police internal controlsProducing and Understanding Variable Cost information issued to Operations and SeniorSupporting the Assistant Financial Controller in identifying process improvementsMaintaining and improving productivity, ensuring schedules & customer needs are met

Part-Qualified AccountantAdvanced Ms Excel & analytical skillsCurrent or previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous but not essentialExcellent communication skills
