Our client

Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting for an Independent Living Coordinator for our client who has Extra Care Schemes based in Stockport. The role will involve covering 2 schemes, working full time Monday - Friday. This is a temporary role for a period of 4 - 6 weeks currently.

The role

As an Independent Living Coordinator, you will be responsible for;

Completing health and safety checks of the building, identifying any repairs and escalating any issues identified to the Independent Living Manager.First point of contact for customers within the scheme responding to questions and queries as they arise.Liaising with internal and external teams such as Carers, Social Workers, other teams within the housing association, family members etc.Safeguarding all customers within the scheme and reporting any concerns to the Independent Living Manager.All aspects of tenancy management using in house housing management system.Risk assessments and support plans for customers within the scheme. The successful candidateExperience of working within sheltered, supported or general needs housing.An understanding of the principles of safeguarding vulnerable people.Experience of completing risk assessments and support plans relevant to older people.Experience of working independently and using initiative to respond to multiple priorities.Experience of using IT systems / housing management systems to maintain accurate records and information. Due to the nature of this role, a current DBS on the update service is required.
