What will I be doing?

The Manager, GDCM Property Systems Projects will have the overall responsibility managing the implementation of Property Management Systems and other products into new opening, converting or operating hotels ensuring all preparation tasks are completed. The individual in this role will manage a team of Senior Associates and Associates and will liaise / collaborate with other key departments such as brand, Opening & Transition, Revenue transition, AD&C and hotel teams within the run up to opening to ensure a successful installation.

More specific responsibilities include:

Responsible for the timely assignment of team members to projects, based on the defined project plans, ensuring all preparation items defined in the project plans are completed. Conduct Kick off / follow up meetings with hotels and ensure all the documentation / tasks are fully completed / reviewed following the specific project plans . Proactive monitoring of on-site activities and strategic planning of contingencies for high-risk items (such as network connectivity, hotel team member training concerns, configuration issues) Collaborating with the department Senior Manager / Director in managing risks to meeting opening/conversion dates Being the first line of escalation to support teams, ensuring all stakeholders are kept always updated. Ensuring all open items (support tickets) are being resolved post-implementation and after the onsite team has moved to other projects. Maintaining relationships with internal and external partners to ensure timelines are met, owners are briefed on the PMS implementation process and costs. Work in partnership with field service / Deployment Communications teams on the off-site preparation activities Managing the onboarding and development plans for all direct reports Conducting interviews for potential new hires in line with business demands Proactively highlighting future strategies and demands in the region to the Director of the department (for example country specific influx of projects, language/cultural requirements) On site visits to be conducted to high profile projects, large full-service projects and any additional projects deemed necessary.

Requirements
What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

Experience with Technology Project management or Hospitality PMS (Property Management Systems) such as Opera Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and confidence to motivate and influence others. Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information. Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement actions required to achieve functional goals. Proactive problem-solving skills including ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problems and develop problem solving skills in others. Demonstrated Technology project management skills including ability to manage details through to completion and ensure deadlines are met.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
Extensive Professional experience in Technology or related field progressive experience in Technology deployment Previous managerial experience Approximate travel 30-40%

Bachelor's Degree, or associate degree plus Significant Technology related experience,
