International Student Recruitment Officer

About the role
Would you like to become part of our team recruiting talented international students to a global top 10 university?
As part of the International Student Recruitment Team, responsible for promoting Imperial and recruiting the most able students from around the world, you will oversee UK International activities and support initiatives in the Americas and Middle East. With a student-centred approach and utilising outstanding interpersonal and communication skills you will engage with prospective students, their supporters and other key collaborators, whilst working closely with colleagues from across the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions team to support the recruitment of the brightest students from across the globe.
What you would be doing
- Oversee activities and develop plans focusing on UK based international students.
- Work with senior members of the International Student Recruitment Team to support and deliver initiatives in the Americas and Middle East.
- Engage with students, counsellors, parents and key stakeholders face-to-face and virtually to provide clear information and guidance, whilst promoting the university.
- Host schools, counsellors and teachers at Imperial and offer information sessions both in person and virtually and, when required, university tours to visitors.
- Lead and manage a large team of online student ambassadors, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure engagement and effective delivery of Imperial's "chat to our students" scheme.
What we are looking for
- An undergraduate level degree, or equivalent
- Experience of student recruitment or education marketing
- Knowledge of the UK Higher Education system and admissions processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience of working as a flexible team member, who can also work independently
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to other cultures
- Experience of dealing positively with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
- Flexibility and a capacity to adapt to the changing demands of the job.
- A willingness to travel overseas and the possession of a valid passport.
