Job Title: Junior Business Analyst Apprentice at AVEVA

Overview:
AVEVA is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team as an apprentice. This role is part of the central IT Business Analysis team and primarily involves contributing to digital delivery transformations. As a Junior Business Analyst Apprentice, you'll need to have a curious and inquisitive mindset, delving deep into issues to identify root causes. Acting as a critical friend, you will collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making based on thorough analysis.

Salary: £25,500 per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to comprehend the operations of a business area, taking into account people, organization, processes, information, data, and technology.
  • Identify and specify user and business requirements to support effective design, development, and business evolution.
  • Ensure new solutions and services align with business and user needs and corporate objectives.
  • Evaluate business and policy constraints, considering implications and assessing the effects of change.
  • Recognize areas for enhancement, investigate viable options, analyze the impact of changes, and define success metrics.
  • Take charge of enhancing your knowledge of business analysis, tools, and methodologies, actively participating in the BA community to share insights and support fellow members.


Other duties include:
  • Translate business requirements into optimal value outcomes for AVEVA, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Operate within the Business Analysis Service Framework to deliver various services supporting IT-enabled organizational changes.
  • Promote the continuous improvement of Business Analysis Services, advocating for its value, building new relationships, and suggesting innovative approaches to ensure its relevance to business needs.

  • Business analysis: Proficiency in identifying, investigating, analyzing, and conveying complex business challenges and opportunities.
  • Stakeholder relationship management: Skill in identifying, analyzing, managing, and monitoring relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business process improvement: Ability to deliver task-specific outputs, supporting the design and implementation of process enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Experience of collaborative working: Understanding the importance of translating technical concepts into layman's terms and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Community Collaboration: Promoting teamwork, collaboration, and feedback to foster effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Organisation and Time Management: Efficiently managing time to meet deadlines and planning project elements effectively.
  • Personal Development: Self-awareness regarding strengths and weaknesses, contributing to personal growth opportunities.


Entry requirements:
Applicants must have a Level 3 Qualification and at least 12 months of work experience, or a business-related degree (e.g., business, finance, economics, maths), or a non-business-related degree with a minimum of 6 months of work experience. Existing staff members need a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a role other than a business analyst. Candidates can also demonstrate a combination of qualifications and experience that meet the program's minimum requirements.
