Our client is a leading utilities and infrastructure business who are going through a period of huge investment and growth. We are helping them source a Junior Software Engineer to join the evergrowing team which provides training and development opportunities.

About the role:

  • Assisting senior developers in coding and testing PHP applications
  • Learning and implementing best practices in PHP development
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in PHP code
  • Participating in code reviews and making improvements based on feedback
  • Contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Assisting in the integration of third-party APIs and services
  • Testing and optimizing website performance, including page load times
  • Collaborating with UI/UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions for innovative feature development

Skills / Traits

  • Basic understanding of PHP, PHP Laravel, and web development concepts
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
