Role Overview:

We are looking for an Audio Manager to join our Firesprite studio, working on a dark, story-driven 'Narrative Adventure' with genre defining goals. You will build and manage our in-house audio facilities and audio staff. The role requires you to be onsite at our studio for 2-3 days per week with flexibility.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervise the audio team, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Lead and maintain the audio facilities at the studio including their ongoing integration with other relevant facilities including motion capture and cinematic review.
  • Work with several outsource partners to ensure delivery of high-quality audio assets and integration.
  • Preparation of budgets for the audio department.
  • Regularly meet with all audio team members to offer support, constructive feedback, and performance assessments to help facilitate the team's best work.
  • Evaluate individual's goals and objectives to support career growth and development, whilst meeting department goals.
  • Advocates for the team's wellbeing and for the studio's values.
  • Collaborates with the wider team to build all audio roadmaps and backlogs.
  • Assists with project staffing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Collaborates with project Directors and Leads to develop, refine, and detail the best methods and practices.

  • Expertise and experience in the development, production, and delivery of AAA games in an audio capacity.
  • An understanding of how audio relates to videogame accessibility.
  • Effective time management, with the ability to delegate tasks and focus on larger issues whilst monitoring critical smaller details.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of Wwise tools, Avid Pro Tools, Sound Forge or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
